For generations, families have trusted Wilbert to help create meaningful tributes that protect, preserve, and honor the lives they remember.Position OverviewThis position will ensure the shipping and/or receiving docks are organized, while managing, maintaining, and ensuring correct inventory. This position is also responsible for ensuring all shipped and/or received Monuments, and related products or items that are loaded/unloaded meet quality expectations.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure that all Monuments are properly inspected and prepared before shipmentResponsible for general personal appearance, upkeep of all equipment, and facilities. This includes general housekeeping of the facility, sweeping, emptying trash, etc.Follow the delivery schedule set by the warehouse manager as required for the day's shipments are correctly labeled and the paperwork is complete and accurate.Consider safety first and comply with PPE requirements.Complete all necessary and required training in a timely manner as assigned.Other misc. duties as assigned by the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor.Shipping/Receiving of monuments and vaults.Forklift OperationUnloading / Loading of trucksLoad, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicleEducation:High School, GED, or equivalent is preferredSkills:Excellent organizational and time management skillsAdaptability - Effectively responds to last-minute changes to delivery schedules or timed deliveries.Communication/Language – Must be able to communicate effectively with the home office, customers, and management.Customer Orientation - Understands and meets the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets firsthand customer information and uses it to meet customers' needs by providing the highest quality products and services; acts with customers in their mind; develops effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.Reasoning - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Team Player - Supports team efforts; cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals; builds group cohesiveness by emphasizing team objectives and reinforcing cooperation; creates strong morale in his/her team and across functions; shares wins and successes; brings a feeling of participation and belonging to the team.Requirements:Forklift experience (2 years preferred)Physical Requirements:The working conditions and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
