Program Coordinator

The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Program Coordinator to support initiatives that strengthen relationships across the ophthalmic community. In this role, you will coordinate meetings and events, manage critical data and communications, support physician leaders and professional societies, and help deliver programs that advance collaboration and professional engagement throughout the field of ophthalmology. Qualifications Minimum of two years of administrative, program coordination, association, nonprofit, or related professional experience. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Experience coordinating meetings, events, registrations, logistics, or member-facing programs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including customer service and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with databases, CRM systems, or association management platforms is preferred. Experience supporting volunteers, committees, boards, or member organizations is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
