• Position Summary:

  Cardinal Infrastructure Group is hiring an experienced Pipelayer for underground utility installation. You will install sewer, water, and storm drain systems using laser guidance and heavy equipment.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Install Pipe: Position, align, and join concrete, ductile iron, and PVC pipe; set drainage structures to grade.
• Grade & Laser Control: Utilize pipe lasers and excavator guidance to ensure precise installation.
• Site Preparation: Dig trenches, backfill excavations, compact earth (using pneumatic tampers, shovels, rakes), and clear site hazards.
• Tool Operation: Safely operate concrete saws, cutting tools, and power equipment. Clean and maintain tools daily.
• Crew Signaling: Guide heavy equipment operators to safely move and adjust materials.
• Traffic Control: Set up traffic management around work zones (if certified).

• Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3 years of underground utility or civil construction experience.
• Proven proficiency cutting concrete pipe, boxes, ductile iron, and PVC.
• Ability to read grade stakes and operate pipe lasers.
• Strict compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies.
• Physical ability to perform heavy labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Predictable, reliable attendance and a valid driver's license.
