Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Urgent Care Location: Denton, TX Pay Rate: $37.17 per hour Schedule: 75 hours biweekly Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support patient care at outpatient urgent care clinics in Denton, TX. The LVN will assist with clinical services, patient assessments, vaccinations, diagnostic testing, and electronic medical record documentation. This position requires floating between two clinic locations as needed. Locations Primary Location: 3200 Teasley Lane, Denton, TX 76210 Additional Location: 1801 S Loop 288, Denton, TX Schedule and Training 75 hours biweekly. Shifts typically range from 7–10 hours during clinic operating hours. Typically scheduled 2–3 weekdays and every other weekend. Availability for some major holidays is required. Three weeks of initial training and orientation. Responsibilities Perform routine patient assessments and obtain vital signs. Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations within the authorized scope of practice. Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care diagnostic testing. Document patient encounters, treatments, and clinical information accurately in the electronic medical record. Review medications and provide patient education. Communicate with providers and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical environment. Follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and infection-control procedures. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas LVN license in good standing, with no current or prior disciplinary actions. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. At least one year of healthcare experience, including primary care, urgent care, or emergency room experience. Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing. Proficiency with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred. High school diploma or GED that can be verified. Ability to travel between the two Denton clinic locations. Strong communication, documentation, and patient-care skills.
