In this role, you will provide essential support in medical procedures, animal handling, diagnostics, and client communication, ensuring a high standard of veterinary care. Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including anesthesia administration, surgical assistance, and diagnostic imaging such as radiology and X-ray procedures.
• Perform animal restraint, handling, and husbandry to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and treatments.
• Conduct laboratory work including phlebotomy, sample collection, and processing for diagnostic testing.
• Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures and assist with veterinary critical care and emergency medicine cases.
• Operate medical equipment such as anesthesia monitors, radiology machines, and laboratory analyzers accurately and safely.
• Manage vascular access procedures like IV insertion and animal catheterization to facilitate medication delivery and fluid therapy.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and follow-up care to foster trust and understanding.

Qualifications

• Previous Veterinary experience is required
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary procedures.
• Hands-on experience with veterinary anesthesia monitoring, IV insertion, phlebotomy, radiology diagnostics, and laboratory work.
• Strong animal handling skills including restraint techniques.
• Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment management.
• Ability to perform medical tasks such as medication administration and aseptic techniques confidently.
• Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and compassionately.
