SUMMARY :

Responsible for providing friendly, excellent service to every guest approaches the bar. Prepares and pours drinks for guests and cocktail servers. Handles all cash transactions accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (Includes but not limited to the following)

• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service, through the consistent practice and delivery of our vision of treating our guests and each other with kindness, dignity and respect. 
• Responsible for fostering a fun environment
• Responsible for being a gracious host to all guests and co-workers
• Responsible for promoting a positive influence in the community and participating in company-sponsored events
• Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines
• Promotes gaming events and programs
• Provides personalized service and uses guest name
• Resolves service problems according to guidelines
• Provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to gaming guests and beverage servers. (e.g., 2 minute or less production cycle for 15 drink tray)
• Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required
• Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures
• Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; adheres and maintains integrity of all financial controls, opening and closing responsibilities.
• Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisor, and gaming supervisor
• Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines
• Stocking beer, wine and liquor when Bareback is unavailable
• Requisition all replacement inventories according to standards; obtain all necessary signatures for approval.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Provide menu information as requested by guests.
• Assist with bussing in the lounge when servers are unavailable.
• Perform other duties as requested by management, for example, cleaning unexpected spills, or special guests’ requests, to ensure total guest satisfaction .

  QUALIFICATIONS

  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
• Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
• Must enjoy hosting others.
• Excellent customer service/communication skills.
• Count money and change correctly.
• Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques.
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
• Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
• Able to work in constricting areas.
• Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment.
• Must obtain an RBS training certification within 60 days of employment. The passage of Assembly Bills 1221 in 2017 and 82 in 2020, effective July 1, 2022, dictates any alcoholic beverage server must have a valid responsible beverage service (RBS) certification within 60 days from their first date of employment. To become certified, you must complete RBS training from an ABC-accredited RBS training provider and pass an ABC-administered RBS exam.

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.   High school education preferred.   Two-three years bartender experience in high volume beverage operation.

  LANGUAGE SKILLS  

• Ability to read and write in English.  Ability to understand and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and any caution or safety notices.   Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.  Ability to speak effectively before groups or team members of the organization.

  MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  

• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money.

  REASONING ABILITY  

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.   Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  

• Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates.  Example: CPR Certification and/or First Aid training.

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  The team member frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The team member must regularly grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise transport up to 50 pounds and move or push on a hand cart/truck a maximum of 100 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The team member is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.  The team member is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
