Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an MD or compact state license and multiple OB-specific certifications including AWHONN Intermediate and C-EFM.

Details

• Hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• High-risk patient population including pregnancies complicated by preeclampsia with severe features, diabetes mellitus, preterm labor, gestational hypertension, and placental abnormalities
• Special procedures performed include D&C, cerclage, and Cook's catheter placement for induction
• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• Every third weekend required
• Floating required within the L&D specialty as needed
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated — any RTO must be submitted at the time of initial application

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland (MD state license or compact license with MD as primary state)
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, FHM, and C-EFM
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required; candidates with slightly less than 2 years may be considered with strong experience and active certifications
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Care for high-risk obstetric patients and assist with specialized procedures including D&C, cerclage, and Cook's catheter induction placement
• Holiday coverage required as holidays fall on the assigned schedule
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• 13-week contract
