Dental Assistant

Skyview Dental is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Dental Assistant (Hygiene Assistant) to join our team in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced dental office, providing excellent patient care, and supporting our hygiene department. Responsibilities Assist dental hygienists with patient care and clinical procedures Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms before and after appointments Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards Take and update patient records and medical histories Assist with digital charting, dental software, and imaging systems Ensure patients are comfortable and informed throughout their visit Manage operatory setup and breakdown efficiently Support scheduling and patient flow as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and administrative team members Qualifications Required Positive attitude and strong work ethic Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable using computers and dental technology Ability to multitask in a busy dental practice Dependable, organized, and self-directed Ability to stand and move throughout the workday We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care.
