Hours will be from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Monday - Friday. These positions have the possibility to become full time./ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet and perform both general expectations and essential functions:/ppstrongGeneral Expectations:/strong/pulliWorkdays scheduled on an as-needed basis./liliMaintain neat appearance which includes good hygiene and well-groomed./liliComplies with the privacy rights of students, staff and faculty./liliSafeguards confidential and/or sensitive information./liliCommunicates effectively./liliProvides excellence in work to be performed./liliReacts to change productively./liliMust have reliable transportation to and from work./liliMust be at least 18 years of age./li/ulpstrongEssential Functions:/strong/pulliDust, sweep, and/or mop floors as instructed./liliWash windows and clean window sills./liliCare for and clean the grounds (playground, sidewalks and all entry exit locations, etc.)./liliScrub, strip, wax floors as scheduled./liliClean and sanitize restroom fixtures, hardware, tile, mirrors, partitions, floors, etc./liliReplace restroom supplies as needed./liliReport any damage to school property and report maintenance needs via work order system./liliReplace light bulbs and fluorescent tubes as needed./liliFollow the established schedule./liliSweep exterior walkways and remove snow/debris as directed./liliRelieve, assist, or fill in temporarily on other jobs as assigned by the supervisor./liliKnow the location, proper care, and use of all firefighting equipment./liliMaintain security of the classroom, buildings and grounds./liliCheck to make sure all doors are locked, windows are locked, and buildings are checked for fire hazards./liliAssist with routine maintenance during the summer months./liliReport any trouble or problems relating to the heating or cooling systems and plumbing immediately./liliClean and maintain tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place./liliSecure the building at end of shift./liliCarry out all other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongJob Requirements:/strong/ppMinimum Qualifications:/pulliPerform basic math./liliRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals in English./liliRespond or redirect inquiries from staff, students, visitors, etc./liliUnderstand multi-step written and oral instructions./liliSolve practical problems./liliInterpret instructions given orally, or in writing by diagram or form./liliMinimal use of technology is required including data entry for time clock and work orders./liliAbility to work with a diversified group of people in various settings./li/ulpstrongPhysical Demands:/strong/pulliWhile performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls and talk and hear./liliThe employee is frequently required to reach, climb, bend, squat, stoop and kneel./liliThe employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp and use tools and climb ladders./liliThe employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally the employee will lift or move up to 90 pounds./liliThe employees will frequently push or pull items such as desks, tables, bleachers and scrubbing machines./liliSpecific vision requirements include close and peripheral vision and depth perception./li/ulpConditions and Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works indoors and occasionally works outdoors. The employee will work near or with moving mechanical equipment. The employee may occasionally work with toxic or caustic chemicals.
