Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Per Diem Staff Pharmacist – Flexible Retail Pharmacy Opportunities

A retail grocery chain pharmacy in the Canton, OH area is seeking experienced pharmacists to provide ongoing per diem coverage across multiple store locations. This pilot staffing program offers a flexible way to supplement income, ideal for pharmacists seeking semi-retired or PRN roles without long-term commitments.

Location:

Canton, OH area (with ability to float between stores)

Schedule and Work Environment:

Approximately 10 shifts available weekly
Flexible scheduling with preference for consistent pharmacists to build familiarity with store operations
Retail grocery chain pharmacy setting
Use of McKesson EnterpriseRx software (training provided)
Store volumes average approximately 800 prescriptions per week, varying by location
Pharmacy teams typically include 2-3 pharmacy technicians

Key Responsibilities:

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
Manage workflow and coordinate with pharmacy technicians
Adhere to state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
Float between multiple store locations as needed

Qualifications:

Active Ohio Pharmacist license
Recent retail pharmacy experience required
Strong customer service and workflow management skills
Ability to travel between multiple locationsPreferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in grocery chain pharmacy
Familiarity with EnterpriseRx software
Open availability for recurring PRN shifts
Interest in maintaining a long-term per diem arrangement

Training and Support:

Comprehensive store-specific training and onboarding
Provision of credentials, access, and pharmacy uniform
Pharmacists fully onboarded before independent shifts
