Staff Accountant

A well-established organization in the Triad area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who brings strong technical ability, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable navigating multiple systems and high-volume financial data.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in general accounting along with strong systems experience and exposure to a manufacturing environment. This position is available immediately, so candidates who are able to start quickly are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support day-to-day general ledger and accounting activities
• Prepare and post journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Work with accounting data across multiple systems and reporting tools
• Support inventory, costing, and other manufacturing-related accounting activities
• Assist with process improvements and help identify opportunities for greater efficiency
• Partner with accounting and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
• Provide additional accounting support and analysis as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Previous Staff Accountant or comparable general accounting experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong systems aptitude with the ability to learn new ERP and accounting platforms quickly
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including experience working with large data sets
• Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Available to begin an assignment ASAP
