• Location: Candidates must live in Macomb or nearby areas in Illinois (Homeownership or rental is required; available only in the following counties: Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, Schuyler, and Warren)
• Role: You will invite an individual with an intellectual disability to reside in your home full-time, integrating them into your household and family life.
• Estimated Annual Earnings: Around $33,000 (tax-exempt at the federal level) + Monthly contributions for rent and household expenses.
• Opportunity to work from home.
• Continuous training and team support provided.

Each individual is unique, but your responsibilities may encompass:

• Assisting with daily living skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and decision-making.
• Helping with medication management and attending medical appointments.
• Encouraging social connections, community involvement, and a sense of belonging.
• Providing transportation and support for daily activities as required.
• Keeping records and maintaining communication with the support team.
• Supporting individuals in building confidence, achieving independence, and pursuing personal aspirations.

Depending on the specific needs of the individual, support may also involve:

• Assistance with personal care tasks.
• Behavioral support.
• Medical or physical assistance.
• Specialized care and monitoring.

Creating a sense of belonging begins with having the right support. Here’s what you can expect:

• Comprehensive initial and ongoing training.
• Dedicated assistance from a knowledgeable team.
• Resources and guidance throughout the matching process.
• Help with licensing and program requirements.
• Continuous partnership and support.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must currently reside in Illinois (due to state funding regulations).
• Must own or rent your own home, apartment, condo, or townhouse.
• Must have active homeowner’s or renter’s insurance.
• Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance.
• Must have internet access and basic computer skills.
• Must be able to complete necessary screenings, background checks, and training.
• Must be a registered healthcare worker (Direct Support Professional).
