Registered NurseSchedule: FT Days 7a-7p -- 3 12sLocation: Mint Hill Medical CenterDepartment: Emergency DepartmentThis role may be eligible for a sign on bonus and relocationThe Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center, you'll provide rapid, compassionate, and expert care to patients experiencing a wide range of illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. Your ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment will be essential to delivering safe, high-quality care when patients need it most.The Emergency Department cares for a diverse patient population with varying levels of acuity, including medical emergencies, cardiac and respiratory conditions, stroke, trauma, orthopedic injuries, abdominal complaints, infections, and other acute illnesses and injuries. As an ED nurse, you'll perform rapid assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patients for changes in condition, assist with procedures, and collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.What We're Looking ForEducation: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. - 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. - If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.Experience: One year of acute nursing experience required.Licensure/Certification/Registration: - Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. - Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required.
