Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses for MedSurg/Telemetry overflow coverage in a high-volume acute care setting. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes direct patient care within the scope of practice and guiding patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the MedSurg/Telemetry Unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the MedSurg/Telemetry setting.
• Perform clinical assessments and patient management in an acute care environment.
• Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment response.
• Ensure high standards of care are maintained for assigned patients.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM. Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week with weekend availability required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Recent experience in MedSurg and Telemetry is required.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certificate.
• Minimum of 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to float between MedSurg and Telemetry units.
