About the Role:

Manager, Sports

The Manager, Sports oversees community sports programming and events within an assigned region, supporting athletes, coaches, volunteers, and local programs. This role manages sports competitions, builds community partnerships, supports coach and volunteer development, and helps expand participation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage regional sports competitions, events, and related logistics.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers, coaches, and program leaders.
• Build relationships with schools, community organizations, athletic programs, and local partners.
• Support athlete participation, coach education, and inclusive sports programming.
• Manage sports equipment, uniforms, facilities, registrations, and event operations.
• Assist with seasonal events, outreach initiatives, and participant recruitment efforts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and community engagement.
• Monitor program budgets, reporting, compliance, and administrative processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in sports programming, recreation, or program management.
• Experience managing volunteers, events, or community programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
