\nAttend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.\n

\nResponsibilities\n
\n
Essential Functions \n
\n
\nCollects case history information and integrates information from patients, family, caregivers, teachers, relevant others, and other professionals. Selects and administers appropriate evaluation procedures to meet patient needs. Recognizes the needs, values, preferred mode of communication, and cultural/linguistic background of the patient, family, caregivers and relevant others.\n
\n
\nConducts assessment procedures for speech and language pathology. Selects or develops and uses appropriate materials and instrumentation for prevention and intervention.\n
\n
\nDevelops and implements a setting appropriate plan of care with measurable and achievable goals that meet patients need. Collaborates with patients and relevant others in the planning process.\n
\n
\nInterprets, integrates, and synthesizes all information to develop a treatment plan and make appropriate recommendations for intervention.\n
\n

\nEvaluates patients with speech and feeding related impairments\n
\n
\nAdministers standardized testing to access level of function compared to age related norms\n
\n
\nAssess feeding and swallowing impairments\n
\n
\nEducates patients and caregivers on home programs and activities\n
\n
\nCoordinates with pediatric PT/OT on treatment interventions\n
\n
\nCompletes daily documentation and charging in therapy EMR\n
\n
\nCompletes annual requirements as per therapy clinical ladder for senior status which includes supervision of students, completing an approved project, and one in-service training\n

\nCompensation and Benefits\n
\n
\nThe compensation range for this position is $35.14per hour - $60.44per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
