Trauma Registrar

To support the trauma program, the part-time Trauma Registrar will manage patient data inclusion and exclusion criteria, ensure accurate data abstraction, and maintain database integrity while working remotely or onsite with a flexible schedule of 20 hours per week, without weekend shifts. Key responsibilities Collaborate with admissions and transfer center staff for accurate patient identification in the data repository Manage day-to-day database operations, ensuring timely data entry and compliance with reporting requirements Prepare monthly statistical reports on trauma patients for presentation at trauma meetings Required qualifications High School diploma, GED, or equivalent achievement Preferred education in advanced medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical environment with direct patient care Familiarity with Microsoft Windows applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
