Laundry Worker

Our patient's health is our priority, and we go above and beyond to care in every way possible. Position Statement: Responsible for processing, distributing, and storing washable linens and garments. Tasks include washing, ironing, folding, inspecting, and fabricating specialty items. Our laundry workers are a key player to the overall patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Operate laundry equipment including tumblers, dryers, and washers. Sort and inspect laundry for cleanliness and damage. Fold and store clean linen appropriately. Maintain cleanliness of laundry area and equipment. Log laundry activities and maintain records. Drive company van for deliveries (requires valid VT driver's license). Ensure proper handling of specialty items and garments. Follow safety protocols and wear protective clothing. Assist with inventory management of linens and supplies. Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. 3-6 months of related experience preferred. Valid Vermont driver's license with clean record (if driving). Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a warm climate and wearing protective clothing. Ability to work with other team members in a professional and respectful manner. North Country Hospital
