ROI Medical Records Specialist

Responsible for processing release of information requests in a timely and accurate manner, the full-time ROI Medical Records Specialist will ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing exceptional customer service in a remote setting. Key responsibilities: Completes release of information requests by retrieving and scanning medical records accurately Validates requests and authorizations for medical information release according to established procedures Maintains confidentiality and security of patient information while ensuring compliance with regulations Required qualifications: High School Diploma (GED) required A minimum of 2 years prior experience in a medical records department or similar setting preferred Strong computer software experience, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to type 50 wpm and proficiently use fax, copier, and scanning machines Excellent organizational skills and proven customer satisfaction abilities
