About the Position

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a NICU setting with an average daily census of 30 patients
• Maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
• Float to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units as needed to support staffing coverage
• Participate in every-other-weekend coverage rotation
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using Epic EMR
• Respond to facility emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site or serving on a relief team until the event has passed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years of NICU experience required for first-time travelers
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NRP certification required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• NURSYS report must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date) and submitted with profile

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with a wide range of neonatal patient diagnoses and procedures
• Experience floating to Mother Baby or Pediatrics units
