Job Title: Material Handler/Overhead Crane Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay/Salary: $20.00- $22.00 per hour DOE

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 6 AM to 2 PM + OT as needed

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Material Handler/Overhead Crane Operator to work in the Waco, TX area. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in handling steel, operating forklifts, and utilizing overhead cranes. This role requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move, load, and unload steel materials.
• Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety compliance.
• Accurately record material transactions and maintain inventory control.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse for efficient material storage and retrieval.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the facility.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in material handling, particularly with steel.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the steel industry.
• Certification in forklift and overhead crane operation.
