CNC Machinist - Direct Hire

Location: Rockford, IL
Pay: Up to $35/hour - Based on Experience
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Overtime as needed | Saturdays as assigned
Direct Hire Position

A global manufacturing company is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers.
- Load and edit CNC programs and make machine adjustments.
- Read and understand blueprints, work orders, and job instructions.
- Select and install proper tooling.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.
- Complete production and quality records.
- Use an ERP system to process work orders.
- Assist with process improvements and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety and PPE requirements.
- Assist and train other employees as needed.
Qualifications
- CNC machining and setup experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Good basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
