In this role, you will have the opportunity to steer and design Logix Controller product developer generated test architecture.You will report to the Senior Manager Test engineering and have a hybrid work schedule, working from Mayfield Hts, OH or Milwaukee , WI officeEssential FunctionsParticipate in test architecture of safety- and security-critical embedded software for Programmable Logic Controllers to support the needs of a dynamic development lifecycleUse modern continuous integration and development tools, and promote continuous improvement of engineering tools and practices across the global development organizationCoordinate with Agile teams within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), actively monitoring and improving the overall health, predictability, and velocity of the teams as well as the larger Agile Release TrainPartner with development, functional test, and system test personnel to meet product requirementsPromote reliable automated test engineering through robust design patterns, process, and toolingWork closely with system architects, software engineering, continuous integration, and release teams to achieve a culture of continuous deliveryMentor less experienced personnel, and encourage knowledge sharing and learning among the development communityThe Essentials- you will have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experienceLegal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.The Preferred- you might also have:Typically requires 5 years of software engineering experience with demonstrated professional development in software design, testware, tool development and software development.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent knowledge in the application of software engineering principles, theories, concepts, and techniquesWillingness to take on a technical leadership role in a large-sized teamPrevious experience working with test architectures preferably with real-time embedded development environmentsDevelop and maintain automated tests and tools in PythonExperience developing software to meet safety and security standards such as IEC 61508 or IEC 62443Past technical leadership experience in an agile development settingIn depth knowledge of software engineering and application of engineering principles and practices in a related fieldExperience working with industrial protocols, especially Common Industrial Protocol (CIP)Advanced courses or degree in engineering, computer science or controlsThis position is part of a job family.
