Modeling and Simulation Engineer

Role Modeling and Simulation Engineer on the Physical AI team responsible for designing and implementing advanced models to evaluate system performance, support strategic decision‑making, and evolve capabilities with advanced technology solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and develop advanced models and simulations for national defense applications. Translate real‑world needs into technical specifications. Collaborate with government clients to ensure solutions meet mission requirements. Work collaboratively and independently to complete complex tasks within high‑performance computing environments. Qualifications 5+ years of experience performing modeling and quantitative analysis, including agent‑based modeling, physics‑based modeling, optimization of AI/ML algorithms, and reinforcement learning. 5+ years of experience with object‑oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, C#, R, or MATLAB. 2+ years of experience with EO‑IR and 3D modeling and simulation software. Ability to effectively communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field. Nice to Have Experience designing, developing, and optimizing large‑scale computational simulations in high‑performance computing environments. Experience in image processing, projective geometry, and computer vision techniques. Experience with parallel programming languages/frameworks such as MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, and OpenCL. Experience developing autonomous system behaviors. Experience with Linux or Unix systems. Master’s degree in STEM (preferred); Doctorate degree a plus. Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). Pay and benefits are determined by factors such as location, education, experience, and contract requirements.
