Specialist, Engineering

Essential Functions The Specialist, Engineering will provide support for packaging operations including analysis of operating performance, management of key operational data within SAP, application of advanced problem‑solving capabilities, strengthening compliance posture and inspection readiness, and investigating and authoring deviations related to unplanned events. Responsibilities Lead teams to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements related to Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost through detailed analysis of operating performance trends. Lead structured problem‑solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Implement new technology such as installation of packaging equipment and electronic batch records. Manage small‑scale projects across the Operations area related to changes supporting increased reliability, demonstration of new technology, or enhancement of compliance and safety. Author deviations and coordinate the development and implementation of Corrective Actions/Preventive Actions (CAPAs). Implement and optimize standardized work (e.g., Tier meetings, task breakdown sheets) within the Operations department. Education BS Degree in Engineering or Industry Technology. Required Skills Minimum of 2 years of relevant industrial experience. Ability to work independently. Strong communication (written and verbal), collaboration, project management, and data analysis skills. Technical writing experience (documentation of scientific data). Experience in identification and implementation of process optimization solutions. Formal problem‑solving experience (e.g., fishbone, 5 Whys). Experience with SAP and data analysis software (Excel, Minitab, JMP). Project management. Preferred Skills Working knowledge of cGMPs as they apply to the vaccine/pharmaceutical industry. Formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience writing technical investigations, change controls, operating procedures, and batch records. Experience with SAP. Experience with data analysis software (Excel, Minitab, JMP, etc.). Leadership and SME management. Structured problem solving. Salary $87,300.00 - $137,400.00. Salary awarded within the range is based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, location, and organizational needs.
