Quality Technician
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, supporting productions' quality needs through use of Romer and CMM inspection machines and various measuring tooling such as: Calipers, micrometer, height gauges and other inspection tools. The employee must possess a working knowledge of drawings and computer programs such as MS Office, PCdmis, Gage Trak, and PACE weld check needed to support the quality functional team.
Primary accountabilities include component and assembled part dimensional inspection in accordance with the part drawing, finished goods audit, line Romer for quality concerns, weld integrity testing, section, polish, and analyze, support / engage of deviations, support calibration system (inspection, test equipment, functional gages), strong team environment, complete capability studies on critical, major and minor characteristics, program development in PPAP principles and practices, document & record data collected on inspection forms legibly, keep work area safe and clean (5S Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain), promote quality workmanship that meets and/or exceeds customer expectations, assist with housekeeping in NCM area, support operations with NCMR process, inspect parts, assist NCM area with material handling, inventory, non-standard jobs etc., perform other duties as directed by Manager.
Education and experience requirements include 1-2 years' experience working in a similar position is preferred.
Skills and abilities include quality plans and controls knowledge, gauging knowledge needed, CMM operating needed, CMM programming knowledge preferred, strong communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, good attendance, detail oriented, must have the ability to lift, push, pull 25 pounds, must have the ability to stand, sit and walk at least 75% of the time.
