Entry Level Assistant Project Manager

Are you looking to break into the professional world of electrical project management? Our electrical contracting company is expanding, and we are looking to hire a Junior Assistant Project Manager to start immediately. This is a 100% office-based position.

No prior office experience and no college degree are required. We are looking for an ambitious, sharp individual with a strong mathematical mindset who wants to learn from the ground up. We will provide complete hands-on training to fast-track your career.

Key Responsibilities (We Will Train You on All of This):

Project Administration Support:

• Project Documentation: Organize and track vital project paperwork, including material submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Tracking Schedules: Stay in contact with field supervisors and suppliers via phone and email to monitor job progress.
• Material Releases: Help coordinate delivery schedules so our field crews always have the materials they need on time.

Learning Electrical Estimating:

• Blueprint Reading: Learn how to read and analyze electrical blueprints, lighting layouts, and floor plans.
• Digital Takeoffs: Learn to use specialized software to count and quantify conduits, wiring, panels, and fixtures needed for bids.
• Supplier Coordination: Call local Miami electrical supply houses to gather quotes and pricing for fixtures and gear packages.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience Level: 0–2 years of experience. True entry-level. Prior hands-on experience on a construction site or electrical crew is a major plus, but not required.
• No Degree Required: A strong work ethic, reliability, and a desire to learn are highly valued over a college diploma.
• Strong Math Skills: Must be comfortable with basic math, fractions, and measurements (essential for calculating material quantities).
• Computer Literate: Comfortable using standard computer tools (Microsoft Excel, email). We will train you on industry-specific software.
• Language: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred for smooth communication with local suppliers and field crews.
• Availability: Must be ready to start immediately and work out of our office daily.
