- Implement therapeutic interventions under the direction of a licensed therapist.
- Assist students to improve mobility, restore function, and enhance educational participation.
Guide students in therapy regimens and proper use of equipment to develop strength, coordination, and fine motor skills. - Support classroom positioning, joint alignment, and postural stability.
- Develop activities to improve sensory processing and functional daily living skills.
- Conduct activity/environmental analysis to remove barriers to participation.
- Assist with assistive technology assessments and equipment adaptations.
- Document therapy progress and submit reports for review.
- Support in-service presentations and maintain therapy supplies and equipment.
- Valid OT/PT Assistant license and Ohio State Board of Education Pupil Services credentials.
- Knowledge of Ohio Schools Medicaid Program covered services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
- Commitment to professional conduct and ethical standards.
- Satisfactory fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided for free by MCESC!).
