Local CDL Class A Drivers Needed

Job Description

We are seeking Local CDL Class A Drivers to join our team ASAP! We have 3 positions open for drivers in the Mid-South and North Mississippi area (Memphis, Olive Branch, West Memphis, Southaven, Oxford, Corinth, etc.). Applicants are welcome from any area as long as you can reliably commute to the job site. You will be responsible for safely operating an automatic transmission Mack truck with an attached walking floor trailer or log trailer with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). We are also in need of drivers with previous experience operating a manual transmission trucks as well.

Starting pay is $30/hour but willing to negotiate for experienced candidates. Potential overtime and/or work on Saturdays occassionally.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
Ability to operate a manual transmission a plus but not required
Class A commercial driver's license
Ability to handle physical workload
Strong work ethic and can reliably commute to job site
Ability to work overtime hours as needed
Reference check for previous work experience

Responsibilities:

Safely operate an automatic or manual transmission heavy or tractor-trailer truck with attached walking floor trailer
Load and unload cargo as needed
Properly track and document activity log and/or send haul ticket verification daily
Report any issues or incidents to dispatch or immediate supervisor
Inspect truck before and after trip to make sure everything is in proper working order
