Relief Shift Manager

Overview Shift Managers at RaceTrac lead by example in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll support store operations, drive performance, and develop future leaders on your shift. Pay Range: $39,600 – $42,600 annually (includes overtime and shift differentials) Shift Availability: Overnight Manager: Tues–Sat 9:30 PM–6:30 AM What’s In It for You? Leadership development and hands-on training Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance A fast-paced, people-first environment where your leadership matters Complete benefits package – including medical, dental, vision, 401(K), paid time off (PTO), and more What You’ll Do Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift: set a cheerful, can-do tone; provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling; coach team members in real-time; address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary Drive Operational Excellence: train and guide your team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards; ensure proper execution of inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication; oversee key store processes including write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation; lead shift change communication and team alignment Model Communication & Accountability: relay important updates; monitor task completion and provide immediate feedback; support a culture of accountability, respect, and teamwork; proactively step in during busy times What We’re Looking For 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred) 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred) Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same Strong communication and team-building skills Must Haves for this Role High School Diploma or GED (in progress or completed) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.) Fueled by Growth, Driven by You.
