Field Service Engineer 1

Field Service Engineer 1 performs preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on medical equipment at customer sites in the Richmond/Virginia Beach area. The role involves learning repair techniques under experienced engineers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and progressing toward independent service support within one year.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-time and accurate preventative maintenance using field modification instructions and service bulletins
- Assist experienced engineers with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and repair work
- Communicate with customers to ensure issue resolution and maintain service records and logs
- Recommend value-added services to customers and identify sales opportunities for contract renewals
- Answer service calls independently within one year of employment and escalate issues to regional support as needed
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering field, or equivalent military education, or high school diploma with 4+ years electronic equipment service experience
- Valid driver's license and legal U.S. work authorization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and web applications
- Physical capability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform extended bending, climbing, and reaching
- Willingness to work after-hours and rotating on-call schedules including weekends
- Background check and drug test compliance; customer access policy adherence including immunization requirements
Compensation: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 annual base
