Staff Software Development Engineer

Position Summary Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer in Downers Grove, IL to design, deliver, and drive key technical activities for small and large software application projects across multiple technical environments. Responsibilities Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure high‑quality application design. Collaborate with peer organizations, quality assurance, and end users to produce cutting‑edge software solutions. Participate in the entire development life cycle, identifying and mitigating risks before deployment to production. Translate business requirements into technical specifications, independently designing and coding system functionality. Work with Safe Agile development teams to build software products and translate product strategy into high‑performance code. Lead the development of solutions with high complexity and risk, and participate in PI feature scoping and discovery. Serve as a technical contributor in the design of new or enhanced software applications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. At least five (5) years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in software development. Experience with each of the following: Java, XML, Agile Methodologies, J2EE, REST, SOAP, Web Services APIs, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $153,317.00 to $260,590.00 per year.
