Occupational Therapist OT - Outpatient Neuro

About this Job MedStar Health is looking for an Occupational Therapist (Outpatient Neuro) to join our team at Therapy – McLean. This role requires professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational therapy, independent use of varied evaluation and treatment approaches, and the ability to work in a team environment. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, determination of recommendations, and documentation of results. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporate them in goal setting. Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and evolving healthcare environment. Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated; recognize and document changes in patient’s condition requiring modification of the plan of care. Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow‑up care. Accurately and timely document and charge for patient care activities, producing clear records of the patient's course of care, daily encounter notes, interim progress summaries, and discharge evaluation. Demonstrate effective time management, meet productivity expectations, and manage an accurate schedule. Provide frictionless patient access through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, empathy, and patient‑centered actions. Pursue and direct continuing education for professional growth; serve as a clinical instructor for students; assist with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school. Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for your location. American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification for Healthcare Providers and CPR certification. Proficiency in evaluation, treatment planning, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Compensation Hiring range: USD $74,214.00 – $134,596.00 per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr
