Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Location: Tampa, FL Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite) Schedule: Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a growing neurology practice specializing in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services, monitor patient progress, and assist patients in achieving their functional recovery goals. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation programs established by the Physical Therapist. Instruct and guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, and functional rehabilitation. Administer therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and other prescribed treatments. Monitor patient progress, document treatment outcomes, and communicate changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and prepared for patient use. Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program. Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the State of Florida. Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, anatomy, and physiology. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills. Preferred Skills: Previous experience working with personal injury patients. Experience treating patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) or neurological conditions. Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making abilities.
