Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher for elementary students, responsible for delivering individualized instruction in self-contained classrooms. The role supports students with diverse learning needs and collaborates with support staff to meet educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to elementary students in self-contained classrooms.
- Collaborate with classroom support staff to meet student needs.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and school teams.
- Maintain consistent attendance and professionalism.
- Work full 40-hour week in a day schedule.
- Ensure compliance with background check requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (or equivalent experience/credential).
- Current teaching certification(s) for Special Education/Elementary instruction required by district/state.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant special education teaching experience.
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school/classroom setting.
- Experience working in Specialized Day Classrooms (Self-Contained) focusing on individualized instruction.
