Pre-School Licensed Speech Therapist in Long Beach, CA

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech and Language Pathologist supporting early learners in a contract position near Long Beach, CA. In this role, you'll provide critical services to preschool students, collaborate closely with the Preschool Assessment Team, and offer support for mild to moderate Special Day Classes (SDC) for grades 1-2. The district is seeking someone available to start as soon as possible, with a commitment to five days per week.


Qualifications & Experience:

• Holds current, valid certification and licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
• Experience working in preschool or early childhood settings preferred.
• Skilled in conducting assessments and developing individualized communication goals.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and specialists.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language services directly to preschool students and students in SDC (grades 1-2) as indicated in IEPs.
• Participate actively as a member of the Preschool Assessment Team, conducting evaluations and eligibility determinations.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address communication challenges.
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary, and maintaining clear records.
• Engage with families and staff to provide resources and support for student success.
