Senior Electrical Engineer (Water/Wastewater)

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer excited about taking on complex issues associated with water/wastewater/water resources and building electrical systems for our clients. This role is based in Gainesville, Florida; however, we are open to qualified candidates located throughout the state of Florida, including Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and surrounding areas. This position will require you to work independently and as part of larger multi‑disciplinary teams. It offers a self‑motivated professional an opportunity to grow personally and professionally within our diverse and fast‑paced office. Responsibilities Detailed knowledge and experience in the electrical discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines Understand and apply discipline codes, standards, and legislation Complete field investigations of electrical installations Support local construction activities and respond to technical Requests for Information (RFI) in a timely manner Power system design for municipal and industrial loads Lighting design proficiency in industrial settings Use CAD tools (SKM, AGI32, and MicroStation) Work autonomously and as part of a team, showing resilience, emotional composure, and self‑management Lead discipline teams, including engineers and technicians Mentor and train junior team members Excellent communication and presentation skills (spoken and written) Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating commitment to achieving group objectives Qualifications B.S. in Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent, plus applicable registrations Minimum 10+ years’ relevant industry experience preferred Professional Engineering license in Florida Preferred Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering Experience within the Water and Wastewater Market Benefits Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about: medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. The base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $170,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job‑related skills, experience, and education.
