Commercial Lender

A community bank in Grinnell is confidentially looking for a Commercial Lender to grow business relationships across Poweshiek County and central Iowa. You'll bring in new clients, underwrite and structure credit, close loans, and service a commercial portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Prospect local businesses and build a healthy commercial loan pipeline
• Learn each client's goals and recommend the right credit and deposit products
• Analyze business financials and creditworthiness to structure loans
• Prepare loan memos and documents and see deals through closing
• Open new accounts and introduce treasury and deposit services
• Meet growth targets while keeping credit quality high

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Finance, Business, or Accounting is a plus
• Prior experience in commercial lending or business banking
• Comfortable presenting proposals to owners and loan committee
• Solid underwriting and credit analysis skills
• Organized and able to juggle several deals at a time
