We are the oldest and largest conservation corps in the nation. POSITION DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the District Director, the Conservation Supervisor leads and supports Conservationist staff and Corpsmembers in the designated district. This role provides day-to-day supervision, guidance, and training to ensure work is done safely and in line with CCC policies and all federal, state, and district regulations. The supervisor promotes a safe, respectful, and productive work environment for staff and Corpsmembers. The Conservation Supervisor plans and oversees public service conservation projects and special programs. This includes estimating project costs, working with community partners, and helping negotiate agreements and contracts. The supervisor collaborates with budget staff to track spending and income, prepare reports, bill projects, and set annual reimbursement goals, while reviewing projects to ensure quality work. This position also supports Corpsmember development and program operations by overseeing evaluations, corrective actions, safety programs, and facility inspections. The supervisor ensures staff are properly trained and completes required development and training plans each year. In addition, the role builds strong relationships with community partners, represents CCC at meetings and events, supports outreach and partnerships, and helps coordinate emergency response by ensuring crews are trained, organized, and ready to respond when needed. JOB DUTIES Under the direction of the District Director, the Conservationist Supervisor leads and supports Conservationist staff and Corpsmembers at the Center and satellite locations. This role provides daily supervision, guidance, and training to ensure work is safe, inclusive, and aligned with CCC policies and all federal, state, and district regulations. The supervisor oversees staff and Corpsmember performance, evaluations, discipline, separations, safety programs, facility inspections, and required training. This includes completing Individual Development Plans and Individual Training Plans, supporting Corpsmember development, maintaining confidentiality, administering labor relations agreements, and ensuring compliance with workplace standards such as safety gear, uniforms, and conduct policies. The Conservationist Supervisor plans, manages, and monitors public service conservation projects and special programs by estimating projects, working with community partners, and negotiating agreements and contracts. The position works closely with budget staff to track income and expenses, prepare reports, bill projects, set annual reimbursement goals, and ensure quality control. The supervisor also supports recruitment, participates in staff and community meetings, builds strong relationships with sponsors and partners, and promotes CCC through outreach, presentations, and media contacts. In addition, this role helps coordinate emergency response by ensuring crews are properly trained, organized, and equipped, and may serve as a liaison during emergency operations while supporting ongoing professional development and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. #J-18808-Ljbffr
