JOB DESCRIPTION \n

Sign on Bonus: Up to $15,000 Bonus Based on Eligibility

Job Summary 

\n Performs radiographic procedures to patients in accordance with departmental policy. Provides a variety of technical exams that require independent judgement to apply ionized radiation for radiologic diagnoses. Responsible for on-call procedures when indicated. Must be able to do surgery cases and pain management.
\n JOB RESPONSIBILITIES \n

\n
• Performs general radiology procedures for patients of all age groups served. Uses radiology equipment with general operating procedure i.e. start up procedures, calibration of equipment, troubleshooting, QC, preventative maintenance, malfunctioning equipment and problem solving. Assists in evaluation of new procedures, reagents and equipment. 
\n
• Functions as a patient advocate. Adequate assessment and explanation of procedure to patient before testing occurs. 
\n
• Processes billing/charging with computer systems. 
\n
• Identifies, proposes solutions and assists in implementation of ideas for improvement in patient care and departmental / facility operations. Identifies opportunities and implements strategies to decrease waste in supplies and equipment. 
\n
• Maintains inter and intra departmental communication via phone, fax, computer etc. Maintains appropriate communication with radiologists or Cardiologist. 
\n
• Adjusts work schedule to departmental needs. Uses policy and procedure manuals and other reference 
  \n material to ensure proper course of action. 
\n
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS \n

\n
• Special Skills: Good verbal communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
\n
• Minimum Requirements\n
  \n
  • Education: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
  \n
  • Certifications: Current Arizona Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and Certified Radiology Tech (CRT), CPR.
  \n
\n
• Preferred Requirements\n
  \n
  • Experience: Minimum six-(6) months clinical experience.
  \n
