Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with required IV certification to join our Emergency Department team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a 7 on, 7 off schedule from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. The ideal candidate may also be cross-trained to support our Long-Term Care (LTC) side as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Administer IV medications as per protocol and guidelines.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the medical staff.
- Assist in coordinating patient care and collaborating with healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
- Participate in patient education and support initiatives.
- Be flexible to float to Long-Term Care as required.
- Current LPN licensure and IV certification required.
- Previous experience in an emergency department or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care and safety.
