Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative Addison Group is seeking an Associate Customer Service Representative to join a well-established distribution organization. This position is part of a customer-focused team that works closely with customers, sales representatives, and internal departments to ensure orders are handled accurately and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for a customer service professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, phone-based environment. The Associate Customer Service Representative will handle incoming customer requests, assist with orders, provide updates on shipments, and help resolve account or product-related issues. The position is contract-to-hire with the opportunity to transition into a long-term role. Key responsibilities include: Handling a steady volume of incoming customer calls and providing professional, solutions-oriented assistance Inputting new orders and making updates to existing orders using an ERP system Researching order and shipment information and communicating status updates to customers Assisting customers with questions related to returns, billing, credits, invoices, and account information Serving as an initial resource for general product and order inquiries Investigating order issues and working toward timely resolutions Preparing and processing customer documentation, including credit and debit memos Assisting with occasional credit card transactions and other account-related requests Maintaining accurate customer records and information across multiple systems Consistently meeting department service and productivity expectations Providing additional administrative and customer support as needed Qualifications include: At least 1 year of customer service experience within a call center or high-volume phone environment Strong retail customer service experience with significant phone interaction will also be considered Background in distribution, manufacturing, or another product-focused environment is preferred High school diploma or equivalent Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Teams Previous CRM or ERP experience is a plus SAP experience is highly desirable Experience using chat-based customer support tools is a plus Strong computer skills with the ability to work between multiple applications Additional details include: Hybrid position with remote work on Mondays and Fridays Onsite Tuesday through Thursday Training will be provided on internal systems, procedures, and products Contract-to-hire opportunity based on performance and business needs Perks include: Potential for career growth and internal advancement Multiple scheduling start-time options Comprehensive training and onboarding Collaborative and professional team environment Opportunity to build experience with ERP, CRM, and customer service systems Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
