Data Center TechnicianSeeking full-time Data Center Technicians for our Fort Stockton, Texas location.All shifts availableMonday-Friday with rotational weekendsOn-call availability for emergency service preferredCormint Data Systems is hiring qualified data center technicians in the Fort Stockton, Texas area to support a unique data center environment. The responsibilities of this role include installing, maintaining and repairing cryptocurrency miners and facility equipment alongside fellow technicians under the supervision of a team leader.Applicants should possess a love for technology and a wide range of facility maintenance skills, from cable management to electronics repair. General electrical knowledge, mechanical knowledge, and experience with computer assembly are preferred. Experience with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not required.Responsibilities:Install and maintain common data center assets including servers and softwareProvide troubleshooting and preventative maintenance for ASIC mining devicesPrepare ASIC mining devices for repairs; return repaired miners to operational statusComplete regular walkthroughs, track inventory, and log system checksMaintain records and event logsShip and receive equipmentRack and install equipmentRespond to service issues and requests promptlyCommunicate daily with the site teamRequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Professional appearanceAuthorization to work in the USLicense or permit to drive in your areaTime management and organizational skillsDependable, reliable, and detail orientedAbility to prioritize tasks based on operational needAbility to work in variable climatesPreferred Qualifications:Experience troubleshooting common computer hardware (CPU, motherboard, memory, networking, fans, etc.)Experience with network cabling (ethernet, fiber, etc.)Experience maintaining and monitoring network infrastructureGeneral Physical Requirements for Data Center Operations:Ability to walk extensive distances and negotiate uneven terrain when necessaryAbility to work in noisy environments with variable temperaturesAbility to operate hand tools and equipmentAbility to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixturesAbility to manipulate small wires and switchersAbility to apply muscular force to equipment and fixturesAbility to push or pull heavy objects into positionAbility to manually lift up to 50 pounds
