Qualifications:

• Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential authorizing Visual Impairments or California teaching credential with authorization to teach visually handicapped students (EL CLAD)
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Experience in delivering individualized education to visually impaired students
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite (position is not open to virtual or hybrid arrangements)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum and materials
• Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support staff and families in understanding and meeting the needs of visually impaired students
• Maintain thorough student records and progress reports
