Lead Mechanic

Service Operations Manager

Supervise, train, and mentor a team of mechanics and technicians

Assign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs

Diagnose complex mechanical issues and perform advanced repairs when necessary

Inspect equipment and vehicles to identify maintenance needs

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards

Maintain accurate service records, reports, and maintenance logs

Order and manage parts, tools, and inventory

Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules

Assist in developing and implementing maintenance procedures and best practices

Communicate with management regarding repair timelines, costs, and equipment status

High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred)

5+ years of mechanical experience (industry-specific experience may be required)

Proven leadership or supervisory experience

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment

Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints

Excellent problem-solving skills

Full-time, on-site standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)

Additional hours may be required for:

Increased workloads

Time-sensitive repairs

Internal customer needs

Occasional night or weekend coverage

Working conditions may include:

Temperature and humidity extremes

Frequent exposure to noise and vibration

Variable lighting conditions

Occasional independent work

Extended or irregular work hours

Up to 25%. Travel may be required to support other locations or road crews.

Continuous: Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity, color distinction, driving

Occasional: Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
