Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mids Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS Must-Have: Traveler must have their own vehicle. All required certifications must be in hand to be considered. Requests for time off must be included in the profile and submitted at the time of application. Work history and skills checklist for Emergency Department current to 1 year are required. Description: The Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Upon arrival, patients will be screened by an Emergency Department Nurse to determine the severity of their condition and the appropriate course of treatment. This Emergency Department serves approximately 14,000 patient visits each year. Requests for time off during the assignment must be noted and verified at the time of application. No more than five days of requests for time off will be accepted, and less is preferred. Travelers may not take all holidays off and must work one block including Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend following New Year’s Eve through New Year’s Day as needed. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of application, as no scheduling requests will be approved after the offer or during the interview. A supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment is required. Travelers are expected to comply with all requirements for submission to the facility. They must provide any requested information prior to application. All certifications must be active and uploaded with the application. Profile should include the permanent address. Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this need.
