Through strong alignment across these functions, we ensure our services meet strict availability and performance expectations in complex, customer-critical environments.About the RoleIn this role, you will lead Ops / SRE teams to build and run secure, automated cloud environments and production services that customers depend on around the clock. You’ll strengthen reliability and resilience across a group of products, reduce technical debt through continuous optimization, and partner across technical and non-technical teams to improve outcomes. You’ll also drive ongoing cost review and optimization through FinOps processes.ResponsibilitiesLead Ops / SRE teams to build / maintain “Infrastructures as Code”, software services (PaaS and SaaS), security policies and continuous integration / deployment processesRemove technical debt, deliver security hardening, and drive continued optimization of cloud based environmentsMaintain critical production services with a view to provide best possible uptime and a huge focus on reliability around tier 1 / mission critical 24/7 servicesWork with diverse technical and non-technical teams, including Development, QA, IT Operations, Customer Operations and Project Management teamsLead FinOps processes for continuous review and ongoing cost optimization, including maintaining and forecasting cloud OPEX spendEnsure 24/7 technical support and Service Level Agreements for customers is met, with ultimate accountability for uptime and resiliency across a group of productsDrive automation to aid productivity, minimizing the amount of traditional operational effort and maximize Infrastructure as CodeManage Customer Reliability Engineering activities driving Application Monitoring, Metrics, Incident Reviews and Long Term Actions, and support BISO activities / implementing InfoSec changesRequirementsExperience leading SRE Team/s, including rotating staff across products / platforms, mentoring and development, objective setting and general line managementExperience building and operating “Infrastructure as Code” and other DevOps practices, including CI/CD processesExperience maintaining and supporting critical, high revenue business applications, including diagnosis and resolution of complex system and application issuesGood understanding of defensive, corrective, detective controls and general application troubleshootingExperience hosting mission critical apps within public cloud providers such as AWS and / or Azure through services such as EC2, ECS, AKS or ACAExperience working with containerized workloads such as Docker and orchestration via KubernetesExperience with security based tooling such as Qualys, Wiz, Trufflehog, GitHub Advanced Security, etcAbility to maintain systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical audiences, and collaborate across SRE Managers/Leads/Cloud Centre of Excellence to adopt best of breed practicesWorking for you:We know that your wellbeing and happiness are key to a long and successful career. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. If performed in Illinois, the base pay range is $124,200 - $230,800.If performed in Chicago, IL, the base pay range is $130,200 - $241,800. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
