Mechanical Engineering Manager

Job Title

Responsibilities include:

• Create and review technical documentation for semiconductor growth systems, reactor upgrades, gas delivery systems, and custom semiconductor equipment.
• Delegate tasks to a team of engineers to ensure timely completion of projects
• Support and organize internal design reviews.
• Track open engineering items, identify schedule risks, missing parts, design gaps, and vendor delays by project
• Work with vendors to obtain quotes and resolve technical questions to create orders for purchasing.
• Maintain project documentation, task lists, and status updates.
• Communicate project progress and issues clearly to management.
• Manage customer relationships and support relevant technical questions.
• Support continuous improvement of engineering processes, design review practices, purchasing handoffs, and project tracking methods

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, project engineering, or technical project coordination.
• At least 1+ years’ experience reading and reviewing mechanical drawings, CAD models, BOMs, vendor quotes, and technical specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active projects and open tasks at the same time.
• Ability to follow up consistently and keep projects moving without needing constant direction.
• Mechanical engineering, mechanical design, or project engineering experience.
• Experience with custom equipment, vacuum systems, semiconductor tools, industrial machinery, or precision mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, CAD models, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Strong communication skills.
