Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Adult)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 4x12-Hour Shifts | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses in a high-acuity ED setting
• Perform triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
• Administer IV therapy including blood products, IV vasopressors, and central line care; perform phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance
• Manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators
• Care for patients with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, ortho trauma, and gunshot wounds
• Float within skillset as needed and adhere to isolation precautions and safe patient handling protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State single-state RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Demonstrated competency with IV vasopressors, ventilator management, and advanced emergency clinical skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with specialized emergency equipment including Bair hugger and rapid infuser
• Background in pediatric emergency care or pediatric spinal cord injury
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
