A sophisticated and rapidly growing Connecticut litigation boutique is seeking an attorney with at least two years of litigation experience in civil defense and insurance coverage to join its expanding practice.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated litigation and coverage work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and highly supportive environment. The practice offers exposure to a broad range of complex matters, including civil defense litigation, insurance coverage analysis, bad faith claims, and high-exposure commercial and tort disputes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both insurance coverage and defense litigation, although the firm is open to candidates with particularly strong experience in one area and a demonstrated interest in developing the other.

The Role
Attorneys in this practice play an active role in all phases of litigation and insurance coverage matters, including:
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and coverage opinions
- Conducting research and analysis on complex insurance coverage and bad faith issues
- Managing discovery and developing litigation strategy
- Taking and defending fact and expert depositions
- Attending court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Assisting in the defense of insurers in coverage and bad faith litigation
- Working directly with clients, partners, and experts on sophisticated matters from inception through resolution

Experience with insurance coverage, bad faith litigation, or civil defense litigation is strongly preferred.
Admission to the Connecticut Bar, or the ability to become admitted upon hire, is required. Admission to the Massachusetts and/or New York Bar is a plus.
